Rex finished off the last of his shrimp pasta and smiled. "That was really good, Jude."

"Thank God. It was pretty good. I guess I can follow a recipe. Especially when someone buys all the ingredients for me and leaves me a note saying, 'here is what you need.'" He felt himself blush. "I really do sound pathetic, don't I?"

"Nope. I never said I was a gourmet cook either." Rex rose and picked up their dishes from the dining room table and brought them into the kitchen.

"What do you want to do now? Watch a movie? Television?" Jude followed him.

"Anything you want is fine with me." Rex rinsed the plates. "Listen, how about tomorrow you come over to my house? Stay the night. You can bring Sebastian with you."

Jude hesitated. It wasn't that he didn't want to or that Rex wasn't amazing, but that sounded like they were starting something. And were they? Did he want to?

"Hey." Rex grabbed his hand. "No pressure. You don't have to."

Exhaling slowly, Jude nodded. "Sure, I want to. I'll come over after I close the shop."
